Google’s Latest Chrome Extension Google Tone might be the coolest extension I have ever seen. Google Tone uses sound to quickly share URL’s with any nearby computers. The extension is now available in chrome web store and any chrome user can install it on their chrome browser.
You can use Google Tone to send the URL for any web page, including pictures, products, YouTube videos, documents, news stories, blog posts, recipes and search results.
How Google Tone Work
In order to work, google tone must be installed on at least two computers that are near enough to be within earshot of each computers. And both computers must have connected to Internet with volume turned on.

Google Tone will turn on your computer microphone so it can use your speakers to exchange URL’s with nearby computers.
Once you opened the Page you want to share with your nearby computer, Click on Google Tone icon in your browser toolbar, you will hear a Series of beep sounds, and then the link will be shared to all nearby machines via chrome notification.
You need to be logged into your Google account to use Google Tone, and your Google profile name and profile picture will be shown with the URL in a Google Tone notification.
To receive a Web Page URL with Google Tone, Google Chrome needs to keep your Computer mic on. Google Tone may not work in loud Places, over long distance, with a poor Internet connection, or on computers without a microphone or with a microphone unable to identify sound broadcast by Google Tone.
